Glasgow 2014 With the Swim West Lothian set up, it is likely that at least one or more swimmers from West Lothian will compete at Glasgow in 2014. Let's get behind our talented swimmers from Broxburn and provide them with the kind of support they need to get there!
Cheers John

Agree about the high attendance - I think this also counts for helpers as well. As a Club we have to supply officials to help out and this includes three timekeepers. So far we have zero and this is the Monday before the Championships.
We have run courses and we have club timekeepers whose children are swimming - can we not get some help here?
I don't know if we, as a club get penalised if we don't meet our obligations, if everyone was like us there would be no Championships. Commitment is required from parents as well as swimmers.
I cannot be there on Sunday otherwise I would be in the whites with my stopwatch on.
Ally, I think you need to make noises about this as well - we don't want the West Lothian swimming community talking about us as a Club that can't support it's major event.

Forth Valley Junior League
/ FVJL (Sat 22nd Sept) |

Well done to all the swimmers who competed in the Forth Valley League on Saturday at Grangemouth. Thanks to the swimmer who borrowed a costume and joined the team right at the last minute to make up the numbers- you know who you are! Also thanks to the parents who helped out to marshal the younger swimmers- this ain't an easy job. The times for the individual swims are up on the notice board.
We will be planning to hire a bus for the big final on the 1st December at the National Competition Centre in Tollcross, Glasgow so I will be putting up a list of possible swimmers very soon for that gala. This will be a great day out for the swimmers with electronic timing, touchpads etc. just like on the TV!
Cheers John G
